Uganda
as a country has high potential for rainwater harvesting due to the fact that
it receives high precipitation and some parts receive two rainfall seasons a
year. Despite this clearly vivid potential, rainwater harvesting is not
practiced to its full potential. In Some households, fairly small containers
such as plastic drums, pots and jerrycans which cannot be comparable to the
amount of rainwater falling are used. Other case scenarios where rainwater is
harvested at a relatively large scale, functionality seems to be a big issue
which at times leads to the systems being abandoned after shortly after
installation. https://docs.google.com/folder/d/0B5rfF59ifxGLSERsWUJiMlpGNlE/edit |
